Paragliding:
a visual journey
Follow along with us as adventurers take to the skies for the first time on a tandem, learn valuable paragliding skills or even catch a glimpse of pilots just goofing around!
A little over 4 years ago (June 1, 2010 according to iPhoto), Alan came flying with me on my sign-off flight to be a tandem pilot. He was my 20th signed-off pilot passenger, and after that flight I was able to start taking people who had never come paragliding before…and the adventure began.

It's a question we hear a lot as paraglider pilots, and people are especially curious about tandem take-offs. Here is a video of a tandem launch from last week - as a passenger your job is simply to RUN! Paragliding in my mind via photographs on this rainy Saturday afternoon. One of my favourite spots is in Lienz, Austria. A cable car and then a chairlift bring you to this incredible launch - take off wherever you like, land back on top and go for lunch at the restaurant before flying again. And this is only one launch of probably hundreds that look like this throughout Europe. One giant lottery win and I will make this happen here in the Fraser Valley! It looks like we're standing on the mountain, but our feet have literally just left the ground and Brenda was already laughing.
This photo log begins with a picture that always makes me smile. I got to take one of my best friends from high school for a tandem flight as she passed through town on one of her many adventures.
