Why write the HAGAR exam?
For pilots wanting to fly cross-country, it is imperative to be aware of the different air spaces we are allowed to fly through in order to stay legal (and safe!) in the sky.
The exam is mandatory as per Transport Canada to fly XC, and also to receive your HPAC Advanced Rating (both HG & PG). You can write the HAGAR exam any time in preparation for your next rating, even if you’re still a novice pilot.
This intensive one day course will teach you all you need to know including map reading and the relevant Canadian Air Regulations (CARs) as they pertain to hang- or paragliding. Our HAGAR study course instructor runs a fixed-wing flying school and has been teaching similar courses for years and is knowledgeable on all things airspace. Bring your questions on planning cross country routes, etc and she will be happy to answer them.
